As well as directing single camera crews, I have had extensive experience with observational filming, factual reconstruction and both shooting and lighting interviews on HDV, DV and Digibeta formats.

Amongst my most challenging work has been making short films following patients’ treatment at Guys and Saint Thomas’ hospitals for the BBC1 series City Hospital. This has involved operations, births and following paramedic crews on a typical night in central London. To say it was an eye-opener would be an understatement.

Between 2001 & 2005:

INSIDE CRIME (ITV1/SCREENCHANNEL)                  Observational filming with the Metropolitan police including appeals and raids on crack dens.

HEIST (TIGER ASPECT/COURT TV USA)                          Filmed in America and South Africa for a series on the worlds’ most notorious robberies. and criminal masterminds. Series Producer: David Mitchell                       Executive Producer: Dunja Noack

CITY HOSPITAL 2002-2004 (BBC1/TOPICAL)                     Shot and directed short films for four series of the long running daily factual series.                            Series Editor: Peter Hayton

LONDON RESTAURANT AWARDS (TV1)                            Shot and directed short profiles on award winning chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver.

EVENING STANDARD THEATRE AWARDS 2002 & 2003 (ITV1)        Worked directly with Sam Mendes, Fiona Shaw and Alex Jennings to re-create extracts rom award winning productions of Uncle Vanya, Medea and A Winters’ Tale. 

CARLTON MULTICULTURAL ACHIEVMENT AWARDS 2002 (ITV1/Carlton) VT items shot and directed for the first awards show of its kind on ITV.

VT DIR/CAM (CARLTON KIDS)                                 Directed location items for the ON Digital channel.(I got to ride in the original car from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was nice)
